Innovation: Where Can I Find It?
By Rob Berman

Innovation needs to be part of a company’s culture or DNA. Some industries seem to have more innovation than others whether it is a processor other reasons. To learn more about industry variations I spoke with Jatin DeSai. He is the CEO of The DeSai Group.

In his article, Rob discusses several points to consider:

  1. The most innovative industries
  2. The industries ready for innovation
  3. The geography of innovation
  4. The next big innovation

Talk about shooting the economy in the proverbial foot.

Talk about shooting the economy in the proverbial foot. While green may be the new black as far as social concerns grow about long term sustainability, what will it take to convince our governments, at every level, to see the light? In a recent article, “Next Congress may slow green job growth,” Andrew Stern compares the United States economic need for 30 million jobs and the potential for, according to a Booz Allen Hamilton study, creating 7.9 million of those much needed jobs between 2009 and 2013, contributing “$554 BILLION to the U.S. gross domestic product.”

I thought the United States of America was supposed to be a leading, if not THE Leading Nation, in industrial innovations. At this rate of decline, China and India will soon be outsourcing to the 2nd World Nation that use to be called the United States of America.

Follow the example of Andy Dufrasne, in the movie Shawsank Redemption (1994) … In response to a letter from the State’s Comptrollers Office, along with a check for $200 and a “generous” donation of used books, “…We now consider the matter closed. Please stop sending us letters.” Write two letters per week!

Better yet, Call, Email, Visit local, state, and federal governmental leadership. They were elected to represent you. Hold their feet to the fire! They promised more jobs, make them keep their promise.
