The Professional's EdgeThe Professional’s Edge was created out of a serious gap in specific job search information available to individuals. Much of the information offered seemed to provide the goals for someone to reach, but acutely missed on the implementation.

Finding a job can be one of the most disquieting things a person has to do in their life. It ranks right up there on the stress-o-meter. This site was developed so that I could share the information I am currently researching and developing on the subject of career searching. Eventually, the topics included here will culminate in a How To book, both in eBook and print formats. As I develop various pieces and parts, they will be posted here and available in PDF download format.

Topics included on this site are as follows:

Career Marketing
  • Marketing Material Development
  • Planning a Career Search
  • Using Social Networking
  • Dressing the Part (in process)
  • Interviewing (New Posts)
  • Keeping bridges open (in process)
Career Pathing
  • Planning Where You Want To Be, When
  • Tracking Your Assets (in process)
  • Building Your Contacts (in process)
  • College to Careers

  • How The Market Has Changed
  • Current Employment Situation
  • Various News Worthy Topics and My Comments
  • The Other Side of the Job Market Coin (in process)
  • Human Resources

As you can see by the list above there are several topics still in process, should you have comments or suggestions, please feel free to add them or email me directly at TheProfessionalsEdge@gmail.com. You can also follow me on twitter @ckemery. Your input is desired and much appreciated.

It is my hope that you will find tips and tricks to make your career search more efficient.
